JJ Gabriel decides his future between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona
Barcelona remain hopeful, although the deal seems to be heading towards the Bernabéu.
Real Madrid are very close to finalizing the signing of JJ Gabriel. The forward, who recently turned 16, is increasingly likely to leave Manchester United to begin a new chapter in the Spanish league.
Talks with his representatives have progressed in recent weeks and the player has already been seen training in Madrid, a sign that his arrival could be finalized in the next January transfer window.
Real Madrid’s intention is to bring him directly into Castilla, despite his young age. Furthermore, the player would have the opportunity to participate in some UEFA Youth League matches with the Juvenil A team, an option that would allow him to alternate between two age groups and begin to familiarize himself with the club’s sporting structure.

A multi-million dollar operation for a bet on the future
According to the figures that have emerged, the total cost of the operation could be around 15 million euros, including the player’s salary and the corresponding commissions, a considerable figure for a player who is still taking his first steps in professional football.
However, the money Manchester United will receive for his departure will be much less; Real Madrid would have to pay just over 300,000 euros in training compensation.
The date of his arrival will also depend on the time required to resolve his legal situation in Spain. While both parties are working on the terms of the agreement, this aspect appears to be one of the factors influencing the planning of his arrival and his subsequent integration into the club’s youth academy.
Barcelona has not yet given up the fight
The possible arrival of JJ Gabriel at Real Madrid also presents a particular scenario for FC Barcelona , who could lose a talent they had already been closely following.
In fact, the Catalan club considered signing him and allowed him to experience La Masia’s training methodology firsthand. His time in Castelldefels was part of this process and allowed him to connect with the Barça sporting environment before making a decision about his future.

However, the negotiation revealed two different strategies in terms of recruitment: while Madrid accepted the conditions set by the Englishman’s entourage, Barcelona maintained its investment limits to incorporate a player who still needs to complete his training.
Even so, the deal still depends on resolving the final administrative aspects, but Real Madrid has already taken important steps to secure one of the most coveted jewels in European football.
