Kathleen Elkins is the type of journalist who preaches his covers. He has been writing about real estate, e-commerce entrepreneurs and side hazards for years. He took this coverage and put it in practical use. Last year, he started selling his own business online.
Kathleen recently profiled the exclusive group of Amazon sellers, seven annual income figures. (No, he is not a member. Maybe one day.) I sat with Kathleen to learn more about these entrepreneurs and their success.
How did you find out about this alien community of Prosperous Amazon vendors?
Previous source I keep in touch is a superpower in Amazon seller community and suggested talking to one of the co-owners worth a million dollars. He put us in touch, we created an introductory call, and I immediately knew I wanted to continue history about the community and how it became an exclusive club.
What is it to be a member of this club? How does it enter and what are the benefits?
Cofounder, with whom I spoke to, Evgen Khaman, told me that the two biggest friend of being a member is the Facebook group and events. He likened them to the “family reunion, where you are actually excited to see everyone there.” He knows how difficult and alone can feel that it is sold to meaningless customers from time to time, and the individual’s events help him to remove and receive positive momentum.
What did you learn from this e-commerce sellers who can help you in your own side haste?
After writing about e-commerce entrepreneurs for years, I decided to give it to myself, mostly out of curiosity. Can anyone, including several savings and a few free hours after work? What does it really last? It turns out, a lot of time and effort. Starting a business, even as a side project, is universal.
I will leave you with both colums: One, I will have to spend money on Amazon ads. Two, keep talking to people in an e-commerce who know what they are doing and curious. How did Evgen tell me?
